The inaugural issue of my email newsletter went out this morning. Sign up to receive similar updates and comics in your inbox. Here’s a rundown of my next few weeks:
Helsinki Comics Festival, Sept. 6-8
Hey Europe! I’ll be at the Helsinki Comics Festival in beautiful Finland. Here’s where I know I’ll be for sure:
Friday, Sept 6, 4-5pm - Signing with Nobrow Press for my book Destination X
Saturday, Sept 7, 5:30-6:30pm - Signing with Nobrow Press
Sunday, Sept 8, 1pm - Canadian Comics Now! panel discussion with Howard Chackowicz, Philippe Girard, Michael DeForge, Julie Delporte, and Joe Ollmann at the tent stage.
SPX, Sept. 14-15
Then, one week later, I’ll be back in North America. This time I’ll be hitting up the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland.
My new picture book, Black and Bittern Was Night, written by Robert Heidbreder makes its festival debut, and just in time for Halloween.
My comic book Gold Star from Retrofit Comics has been nominated for an Ignatz Award for Oustanding Story. Haven’t read Gold Star? Read the whole thing online for free (not for kids!).
