I illustrated this for the latest cover of Broken Pencil, which features a cover story on the wonderful Anne Koyama of Koyama Press.
I’m really proud of this book! Or at least, I would be, if I were a member of Team Society League, which I’m not. Coming in September from Koyama Press, and debuting at SPX.
Big News! Coming this fall from Koyama Press, and debuting at SPX: The Big Team Society League Book of Answers!
TSL will be at SPX this September signing copies, alongside Julia Wertz and Michael DeForge who are also debuting books with Koyama Press. In the meantime here’s a look at the cover and some of the comics you’ll find inside.

Heads up! I have just over twenty copies remaining of the Trexels print I did with Koyama Press. The initial orders have all gone out, convention season is over, and the waiting list has been taken care of. Once these are gone, that’s it. If you wanted one, now’s your chance. Engage.
ONE HOUR DRAWING :: KOYAMABROS (by DHARBIN!)
Dustin Harbin strikes again. Here’s Anne Koyama with some of the artists she has taken under her wing. That’s me on the far left.
7th Annual Joe Shuster Awards: Winners Announced « THE JOE SHUSTER AWARDS
I am very honoured that Heaven All Day took home the Gene Day Award for Self-Publishers at the Joe Shuster Awards for Canadian comics this weekend.
I am also thrilled that the award for Outstanding Publisher went to Koyama Press. When it comes to fostering a sense of community, fellowship, and outright love in our little world of weirdos, there is no one who comes close to Anne Koyama.
Here’s my contribution to the new Cloudy Collection print set, Monster Parade, featuring and inspired by Ed Emberley in collaboration with Koyama Press.
The entire collection is now available for purchase online. What a thrill it is to be a part of a project like this, with Mr. Emberley, one of my childhood cartooning heroes.
It’s official - the special guest of the new Cloudy Collection team-up with Koyama Press is one my childhood drawing heroes, Ed Emberley!
I am thrilled to be in the same company as Mr. Emberley, and the other talented artists. We all did prints titled “Monster Parade” with Ed’s body of work as our inspiration.
The print set debuts at TCAF, and you’ll have to wait til then to see what they look like. But if you have some detective skills, you may find sneak peeks elsewhere.
ANNE KOYAMA! A 2-page comic now up on my site. If you don’t know Anne, she’s the best, believe a you me.
Dustin made this wonderful comic to celebrate Anne Koyama, a woman who has touched the lives of so many cartoonists and artists here in Toronto and beyond. Anne is a treasure in our little community of weirdos.
I am excited to announce Trexels, a limited edition print made with Koyama Press that will debut this weekend at MoCCA in New York.
If you’re not going to MoCCA you can order your copy starting next week. In the meantime, Koyama Press and I are giving away two copies by way of a contest — Can you name them all?
The lovely Anne Koyama commissioned me to draw a version of her Kickass Annie logo/alter-ego. I just had to render her as Lucy. I had to.
